F I S H I N G R E P O R T S:
Cedar Creek Sunday, September 26, 2004
What a difference. I am not sure if it was because we started earlier or the wind was now out of the Southeast or a combination of the two, but fishing was much better today! I fished with my old friend Doug Gibbins and two new friends Scott(dad) and Ben(son). Scott and Ben have a lake house on Cedar Creek and mainly wanted to learn more about how and where to fish. Doug just happens to be friends with them, the lucky dog!
Anyway, we fished the dam area some, and around thirteen other spots, Total for the day was 70 to 100 Whites, 1 Largemouth, 2 Crappie and 1 tiny Catfish. Almost all the fish were caught on Rainbo Shad Slabs in chartreuse. Doug used some slabs that he made to catch quite a few fish though. We had some degree of luck everywhere we tried. The Hybrids were difficult at best to find.
The water clarity is good and the water level is still good. The water temperature is in the upper 70’s. The degree of success we had on Sunday tells me that a consistent slab bite is just around the corner.
E-mail me if I can be of any use or help to you in anyway.
