Don Novak and I worked a very tough corporate trip today. It can be very difficult when the people you are taking fishing don’t truly understand the habits of fishing and/or how important lure presentation is.
Don and I got there early for a little scouting and found fish in the Key Ranch area and on the Spillway Hump. We weren’t able however to get even the first group out until 10am. The first group was the most successful and the ones thereafter were progressively tougher. We did however manage to have everyone catch at least on fish on slabs. The biggest problem I had was convincing them that trolling would be much more effective.
Tough, hard day! Between the two boats we caught around 20 keepers and a lot of small fish. The wind was out of the Northeast and fairly light. We didn’t finish up until around 5pm and that was truly a long day.
Thanks again to Don Novak for all the help.
E-mail me if I can be of any use or help to you in anyway.
