F I S H I N G R E P O R T S:
Grapevine, June 13, 2008
Jan Collmer joined me once again with a friend for some great fishing on beautiful Lake Grapevine. We did manage to catch some fish early around the island and these were really good fish.
We caught most of our fish today between 19 and 22 feet deep which is a good deal shallower than we have been getting them. The fish are moving fast now so when you have a school under you, you need to make the most of it. I think that doubles are a great idea if you are trying to keep several limits of fish. We had fun and they were of my dad’s generation so I really enjoyed listening to what they were saying. They were really good joke tellers too!
We stayed around the island and tried several other areas. Than another fisherman showed us where he had found nice school of fish and we tore them up for awhile until it was time to leave. They caught over 100 fish and again they kept their limit of 50 for the grease!
E-mail me if I can be of any use or help to you in anyway.
