Okay, Okay so I had another great day with friends on the water! This day I fished with some old friends who chose to remain anonymous they love, they just don’t want anyone else to know it.
And once again the fish were in the deep water near the dam. We caught several good fish and then they disappeared. Then the wind started picking up and we moved back in closer to the south bank actually we went on in for lunch. Ms Patty and her daughter Patty Junior have started fixing lunch for all us hungry fishermen. They run Shoestring Farms Bed and Breakfast right across the road from Holiday Marina. You can call in your lunch to (903) 560-1925 around 30 minutes before you want to eat, dock your boat, drive to the main house and sit down to a hamburger, cheeseburger or one of their great salads. The only problem is YOU”LL WANT A NAP!!!! LOL
When we came back out that afternoon the fish were all over the Holiday Hump and we probably caught around 50 or so Sandies there as well as lots of undersized Hybrids, again be SUPER careful what you keep. Then we moved to the ridge out from the old South Shore Marina and caught over 200 more. Well we decided we hadn’t had quite all the fun we could stand so we went back to the deep water and there the birds were again!
We caught another 8 Stripers/Hybrids and several more big Sandies and then we called it a day!
We caught a total of 9 Striper and 6 Hybrids and close to 300 Sandies ALL RELEASED to fight another day.
Baits; Holiday Sassy Shads, Burgess and Lead Babies Slabs in equal amounts.
I even got to reel in some fish myself. What fun!!
E-mail me if I can be of any use or help to you in anyway.
