Cedar Creek, April 29, 2006
Fishing was good at times but tough most of the day. I had two sets of father and sons onboard today. There was Jeff and Matthew and then there was Rick and Keaton.
Started off near the dam with nothing going on there and then went to the Key Ranch area with nothing there either. From there I took us to the Spillway Hump and managed 5 big Sandies there in 16 to 17 feet of water.
For the next couple hours I moved us all over the lake with not much to show for it. I came back to the Spillway hump around 10 and just as we were putting some good fish in the boat the wind started howling. I moved us back to spots on the west bank to get out of the wind and found a nice school off of Merimac in around 22 to 26 feet of water.
Finished the day with 2 keeper Hybrids and 52 good sized Sandies. Not a bad day but not a killer day either. Curse you Cedar Creek, I'LL BE BACK - LOL
All fish caught on Lead Babies Slabs and the gold with the black back seemed to work best today.
It was a good trip in that everyone caught fish and we all came home safe and sound
E-mail me if I can be of any use or help to you in anyway.
