F I S H I N G R E P O R T S:
Lake Grapevine Saturday April 17, 2004
Well, what a windy Saturday!
I fished with two clients on the north bank between Murrell park and the next 2 coves going east towards the dam. Lots of White Bass and the birds were really working that area.
The fish were chasing shad in 4 to 8 feet of water and moving back and forth around wind blown points.
Just a note to others, when fish are this shallow don't try to hold directly over them - you will spook them.
We did catch a limit of 50 White Bass in a half day trip all on chartreuse Rainbo Shad slabs. The water is fairly stained and around 61-63 degrees. We tried several other spots but just couldnt find any other concentrations of fish
E-mail me if I can be of any use or help to you in anyway.
